1. Privacy Notice

a. Who We Are

Electric Motor Wholesale, Inc. (“EMW”, “we”, “us”).

2575 Morgan's Choice Road, Camden Wyoming, DE 19934

b. Scope

This notice explains how we collect, use, retain, and share personal information when you visit our site, place orders, or interact with us (e.g., via chat). We honor all privacy laws that apply to us. If a specific law grants you additional rights, we will comply with those requirements.

c. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal data. If EMW is ever sold or merged, personal data would transfer as part of the business assets, not as a stand-alone sale to a third party.

d. Information We Collect

  • Identity & contact: name, company, shipping/billing address, email, phone.
  • Order & account data: products purchased, invoices, order history, account credentials.
  • Payment data: payment tokens and transaction metadata from our processor (we are PCI-DSS SAQ A compliant). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage/device data: IP address, pages viewed, interactions (via Google Analytics 4).
  • Chat data: messages and IP address collected by PureChat.
  • Cookies & similar tech: see Section 2.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories like government IDs, health data, or precise geolocation.

e. How We Use Information

  • Fulfill and support orders, provide customer service and chat.
  • Process payments (NMI), calculate taxes (TaxCloud), and ship products.
  • Maintain financial/audit records and comply with legal/tax obligations.
  • Prevent, detect, and defend against fraud and chargebacks.
  • Run analytics and advertising via Google Ads/GA4 (only after consent).
  • Send transactional emails through Mailjet (e.g., order confirmations). If we later send marketing/seasonal updates, you’ll be able to opt out.

Legal bases where required (e.g., GDPR): contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests (security/analytics/fraud prevention), and consent (non-essential cookies/tracking).

f. Sharing with Service Providers (Not a “Sale”)

We share data with vendors that help us run the business, under contracts limiting their use of your data:

  • Payments: NMI
  • Tax calculation: TaxCloud
  • Hosting/Infrastructure: Amazon Web Services (us-east-1)
  • Email delivery: Mailjet
  • Chat: PureChat
  • Analytics/Ads: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads

We may also disclose information to professional advisors, auditors, or government authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.

g. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our banner lets you choose “Only necessary” or “Allow all.” Necessary cookies (including PureChat's) are required for core site/chat functionality and cannot be switched off.

Analytics/ads tags (GA4, Google Ads) load only if you consent. GA4 does not store full IP addresses; geo info is derived and the IP is discarded.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to use only necessary cookies and do not load analytics/ads tags.

You can also manage cookies at the browser level.

h. Data Retention

Orders/financial records: retained as long as required by law and our legitimate business needs (e.g., tax, audit).

Other data (accounts without orders, chat logs, analytics): kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymized.

i. Your Choices & Requests

Deletion/Anonymization: If we don't need certain personal data to meet legal or business obligations (e.g., an unused account), we will delete or anonymize it upon verified request. Order/financial records cannot be erased due to legal/audit requirements.

Cookies: Use the banner to disable non-essential cookies.

Emails: Transactional emails are required. If we send marketing emails later, you can unsubscribe at any time.

If applicable law (e.g., California, Virginia, Colorado, EU/UK GDPR) grants you rights like access, correction, portability, or restriction/objection, contact us and we will handle the request as required. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on your request.

j. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (e.g., encryption in transit/at rest where appropriate, least-privilege access, logging).

No method is 100% secure, but we continually maintain and improve controls.

k. Children's Privacy

Our products and services are for industrial/commercial customers and are not aimed at children.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it where legally required.

l. International Data Transfers

Data is stored in the United States by Amazon Web Services and our other service providers.

If any transfer from other regions occurs, we will use the legally required mechanisms.

m. Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision.

Material changes may be highlighted on the site.

2. Cookie Use & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies to ensure the basic functionality of our website and to enhance your experience. You can choose to allow optional cookies for analytics and other purposes.

You can update your preferences at any time by clicking “Manage Cookies” in the footer.

a. Cookie Settings

These cookies are essential for core site functions—like adding items to your cart, logging into your account, and processing orders. Without them, our site won't work properly.

These cookies allow us to use tools like Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our store. We use this anonymized data to improve product discovery, navigation, and promotions—helping us create a better shopping experience. No personally identifiable information is collected.
